Way number 2 was the favourite in our family this week – especially with the youngest of the family at 8 months old!!!
Way 1
Ingredients
- 200gm Dark Cooking Chocolate
- 4 Eggs, separated
- 1 tablespoon White Vinegar
- 300ml Thickened Cream and extra to whip for garnish
- 1 punnet Strawberries, sliced
- 1 Cadbury Flake Chocolate Bar
Method
- Break chocolate up and place into a microwave safe dish.
- Melt chocolate in microwave and allow to cool.
- Gradually combine egg yolks to the cooled chocolate and stir well.
- Whip thickened cream until peaks form.
- Fold the cream into the chocolate.
- Whip egg whites and vinegar until peaks form.
- Fold the eggs whites into the chocolate.
- Transfer the chocolate mousse into serving glasses or bowl.
- Refrigerate until set.
- Serve with sliced strawberries and garnish with Cadbury Flake.
Way 2
Ingredients
- 200gm Dark Cooking Chocolate
- 450ml Thickened Cream and extra to whip for garnish
- Pinch of Salt
- 1 punnet Strawberries, sliced
- 1 Cadbury Flake Chocolate
Method
- Break chocolate up and place into a medium saucepan with 200ml thickened cream.
- Over a low heat melt chocolate, thickened cream and salt, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat and allow to cool.
- Whip thickened cream until peaks form.
- Slowly fold the chocolate mixture into the whipped cream.
- Transfer the chocolate mousse into serving glasses or bowl.
- Refrigerate until set.
- Serve with sliced strawberries and garnish with Cadbury Flake.
